The Best Fkn Injector Meetup

At Aluma, we were proud to be the primary sponsor of this year’s Best Fkn Injector Meetup, hosted by The Aesthetic Injectors Club. The theme was Legally Blonde - and the energy matched: bold, smart, and unapologetically fun.

The evening was filled with networking, education, and growth, but more importantly, it highlighted a shared commitment to collaboration. Together, we’re helping to break down stigmas around aesthetic treatments by building on a foundation of community over competition.

Lyndsay Hakker, RN (Co-founder of The Aesthetic Injectors Club), Dr. Michael Lafkas (Founder of Aesthetic Laser Care), and Dr. Saami Khalifian (Founder of SOM Aesthetics) shared their thoughts on this topic.

The 2024 Best Fkn Injector Meetup was an unforgettable night that brought together some of the most passionate and skilled injectors throughout Southern California.

In true Elle Woods fashion, the night kicked with cocktails and networking (A riff on the classic ‘Bend and Snap’ - but make it entrepreneurial).

Shortly after, Lyndsay Hakker introduced to the ‘Why’ behind the evening followed by presentations.

A noteworthy anecdote made by Hakker goes as follows:

“It has nothing to do with competition and everything to do with community.”

Explained further by the fact that, “17% of patients who are interested in getting aesthetic treatments actually end up getting treated. This means there are 83% potential patients out there, waiting for us [Injectors].”

All this is to point out that competing with each other does not serve the end goal of growing the industry. Rather, it is to point out that there is room for everyone to thrive.

Individuals like those in The Aesthetic Injectors Club, are here to break up the stigmas around aesthetic treatments, continue growing their practices, & make the industry better.

Shortly after, the mic was passed on to Dr. Saami Khalifian who led an insightful presentation on the “New, Now, Next: The Future of Biostimulators & Injectable Fillers” followed by a round table discussion. 

The attention then shifted to Dr. Michael Lafkas who led a discussion on “The Future of Tox: Daxxify”, in tandem with a live injection of his Daxxify treatment pattern. Followed by a comprehensive discussion on face shape with age, leading to a live injection on Temples.

Undoubtedly, the opportunities to learn from industry leaders were a major highlight. However, the excitement of the night only continued as we were led back into some more community building. 

Teams were brought together in a game of creating a tower as tall as they could, just using the supplies at their table (spaghetti noodles and marshmallows). One small note worth mentioning is that there were no rules. So let’s just say, people got creative…

By creative, we mean standing on tables. Always expect the unexpected at The Best Fkn Injector Meetup, right?

This sentiment resonated throughout the meetup, highlighting the importance of connection and support within the industry – We are all here to uplift one another, never to destroy. 

Alas, all good things must come to an end, and now we are left to reflect and look forward to the next community event we get to sponsor.
