WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTOX AND FILLER?
Botox is a neuromodulator that relaxes targeted muscles to soften and prevent wrinkles. It’s commonly used for frown lines (between the eyebrows), forehead lines, crow’s feet (around the eyes), chin dimpling, a subtle lip lift, and even defining the jawline. Botox helps smooth texture and create a refreshed look—without adding volume.
Fillers, on the other hand, are made of hyaluronic acid (HA) a gel that restores lost volume, enhances facial features, and rejuvenates skin. Fillers can be placed in the temples, under eyes, cheeks, lips, chin, jawline, smile lines, and marionettes to restore youthful contours.
Longevity: Botox typically lasts 3–4 months. Fillers last 6–24 months depending on the product, area treated, and individual metabolism.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET INJECTIONS?
Botox: Every 3–4 months for correction of existing lines. For prevention, many clients choose every 6 months.
Filler: Injected until the desired result is achieved, then usually maintained annually.
WILL MY RESULTS LOOK NATURAL?
Absolutely. My injection style is always natural and balanced. You control the level of enhancement, and my goal is for you to look refreshed not overdone.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?
To minimize bruising and swelling, please:
Avoid Aspirin, NSAIDs (Advil, Motrin, Aleve), fish oil, Omega-3s, Vitamin E (high doses), St. John’s Wort, and Gingko Biloba for 1 week prior.
Tylenol is safe and can be taken if needed.
Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before treatment.
Avoid green tea and turmeric for 3 days prior.
Start Arnica tablets 2–3 days before to help with healing.
You can resume all medications/supplements 6 hours post-treatment.
IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?
Your comfort is a top priority. We offer a comfort menu that may include:
Topical numbing cream
Injectable numbing (for complete comfort in certain areas)
Medical vibration devices for distraction
Stress balls for relaxation
